Art has been present in the lives of humans since prehistoric times. It makes life more pleasurable and is an important aspect of a nation's identity. Being members of different European countries and nations, we feel that art is a great point to start exploring our own culture as well as cultures of all nations involved in the project.
With this project we would like pupils to develop skills on different areas of arts. We have started of with painting and we will contine with literature, music and folklore. Pupils will broaden their knowledge about domestic as well as foreign artists.
This project will provide pupils and staff with the opportunity to develop their knowledge and understanding of different European cultures and languages which would otherwise not be possible. We believe the international cooperation will help enhance pupils' creativity through inquiring techniques, different sources of knowledge, sharing experience during the meeting and working together. Pupils and teachers will improve their practical skills in foreign languages. Communicating with peers of different nationalities pupils will be able to overcome the fear of speaking with people from other backgrounds.
Some concrete objectives of the partnership:
- to know works of artists from the different countries involved in the partnership,
- to develop language skills in the mother tongue, in teh language of communication and in the languages of the countries involved,
- to promotee attitudes which avoid racism and xenophobiaand stimulatethe spirit of an European Citizenship.
